We believe there is one God, eternally
existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and
God the Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; Mark
12:29).
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus
Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles,
in His substitutionary and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection,
in His ascension to the Father and His imminent personal future
return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations
(Isaiah 7:14; Hebrews 7:26; Acts 2:22; I Corinthians 15:3-4;
Acts 1:9-11).
We believe that all Scripture is inspired
by God and is our final and supreme authority in faith and
life (2 Timothy 3:16).
We believe that man was created good
and upright with dignity, but man voluntarily sinned, and
thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death, which
is separation from God (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6; Romans
5:12-19).
We believe that the only means of being
cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in Jesus
Christ who, by His death as our substitute on the cross, paid
the penalty of our sin (Luke 24:47; Romans 10:13-15; Titus
2:11, 3:5-7).
We believe that any person who by faith
and repentance receives Jesus Christ is born again as a child
of God and inherits eternal life (Mark 1:15; John 1:12-13,
3:16; Ephesians 2:8-10).
We believe that the ordinances of the
Church are communion, or the Lords Supper, and baptism
in water, by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son and
Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 11:26; Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4).
We believe ones relationship to
God leads to a separation from that which is evil to a dedication
unto God. We further believe that the Christian is able to
live a godly life by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (1
Thessalonians 4:1-7; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Philippians
2:12-14; 2 Peter 1:3-4).
We believe that the indwelling Holy
Spirit is granted to all believers who trust God by responding
to
the truth that Jesus is Lord. At the time of repentance
and faith the believer is sealed by the Holy Spirit, pledging
ownership of the believer, and confirming the assurance
of
salvation. The same Spirit then guides and empowers us as
we seek to live the fullness of the Christian life (Acts
5:32;
I Corinthians 12:13).
We believe the Holy Spirit distributes
spiritual gifts and ministries to each believer as He wills
in this present day (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8).
We believe that Christ provides healing
for the human body in answer to believing prayer. We believe
that God, in His love and wisdom, sovereignly intervenes according
to His will, conforming us to the image of Christ (Isaiah
53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, Luke 4:17-19; Acts 3:16; James 5:14-16;
Romans 8:28-30).
We believe in the resurrection of those
who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together
with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the
Lord (1Thessalonians 4:16-17; Romans 8:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians
15:51-52).
We believe the Second Coming of Christ
includes the rapture of the saints, followed by the visible
return of Christ with His saints to rule and reign for one
thousand years. The millennial reign will bring the salvation
of the nation of Israel and establish universal peace (Zechariah
14:5; Matthew 24:27, 30; Revelation 1:7, 19:11-21, 20:1-6;
Romans 11:26-27; Isaiah 11:6-9; Micah 4:3-4).
We believe that every one whose name
is in the Book of Life shall stand before the Judgement Seat
of Christ to give an account of the stewardship of his earthly
life (Revelation 3:5; 1 Corinthians 3:11-15).
We believe there will be a final judgment,
in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according
to their works. Whoever is not found written in the Book of
Life will be consigned to everlasting punishment, which is
the second death (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:34-48; Revelation
19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8).
We believe according to His promise,
that we are to look with assurance for "a new heaven
and a new earth, the home of righteousness" (2 Peter
3:13; Revelation 21:22).
